June
15 - 19, 2009
The 26th Annual Youth Fiddle Camp offers
aspiring young musicians age 7 – 17 the opportunity to study one on
one with Masters from across the country. Set in an environment as
educational as the camp itself, students learn fiddle tunes, square
dancing, and make lifetime friendships. The week long camp is
endorsed and funded in part by individual donations, Historic Bethel
German Colony, and the Missouri Arts Council, a state agency.
The Mid American Old
Time Fiddle Convention, June 20 & 21, 2009 attracts some of the best
fiddlers in the country. Contests, square dancing and workshops are
included in the week-end event. A 9:30am Sunday morning community
church service concludes the activities.
